When we recognize and submit to God’s Lordship, we allow His sovereignty, authority, and power to manifest in our lives, revealing His glory to the world. The glory of God is not only something we see or experience but something we reflect when we live under His authority.

Understanding God’s Lordship

God’s Lordship means He is the ultimate ruler over all things—His creation, our lives, thoughts, and actions. It’s not just a theoretical concept; it’s a reality that impacts how we live every moment of our lives. Jesus is Lord means that we recognize Him as the supreme authority in everything. This recognition involves:

  1. Surrendering our will to His will.
  2. Living in obedience to His commands.
  3. Acknowledging His authority in every area of life.

The glory of God is His majesty, holiness, beauty, and power—and His glory is revealed as we submit to His Lordship. When we yield ourselves to His rule, His divine nature becomes visible to the world around us.

1 Corinthians 10:31 (NIV)“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”

Practical Ways to Embrace God’s Lordship and Reveal His Glory

  • Surrender Your Plans to His Will:

Take time to seek God’s will through prayer, Scripture reading, and listening to His voice. In every decision, big or small, choose to submit to His authority and trust His guidance. His plans for you are always better than your own.

  • Obey His Commands:

Obey God’s Word, even when it’s difficult. Through your obedience, God’s glory is made manifest in the world. Whether it’s showing kindness, pursuing holiness, or forgiving others, each act of obedience reveals God’s nature.

  • Pursue Holiness:

As you walk under God’s Lordship, allow the Holy Spirit to transform you into the image of Christ. Seek to grow in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. This transformation is evidence of God’s glory at work in your life.

  • Live a Life of Worship:

Worship God through your daily actions—whether at work, in relationships, or in service. A life that worships God reflects His Lordship and reveals His glory to others.

  • Be a Light to the World:

Let your life be a reflection of God’s glory by showing His love and truth to those around you. Your words, actions, and attitudes can draw others to Christ and give Him the glory He deserves.

Prayer:

“Father, I thank You for the privilege of living under Your Lordship. I acknowledge that Jesus is Lord of my life, and I submit my will to Yours. Help me to obey Your Word, to live in alignment with Your commands, and to reflect Your glory in all I do. Transform me into the image of Christ, and may my life shine with Your light. I pray that as I live under Your Lordship, others will see Your glory in me and be drawn to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
